CPD310 Radio-linked Cellular Phone Detection System

cpd310

The CPD310 system detects mobile phone handsets over entire sites where they may be unwanted or prohibited.

CPD310 Description

The system uses remote detectors, but is fitted with radio transmitters to communicate alarms and other information back to a central hub. The hub receives the signals, processes them, and displays and stores the alarm data.

It also continually monitors all the remote detector units for integrity, and alerts the operator to any problems.
Manufacturer's Description (PDA Electronics Ltd)

The GSM196R detector is a radio linked variant on the GSM196, which looks for GSM and 3G/UMTS activity.

It uses the same detection algorithms as the handheld version, but incorporates a 434MHz ISM narrow-band FM transmitter. The combination of this and the receiver in the hub gives a maximum range of around 1km with simple antennae. Note that this figure is for a clear line-of-sight over open ground, and will never be achieved in the real world!

Each detector is set with an fixed address before it is supplied, and the user should not need to change this. The sensing range may be set to low, medium, or high by the switch in the battery compartment; it is read only at switch-on. Use the external power input for fixed operation. It will accept from 4.5V to 16V and takes about 12mA.
